OFPEC Back online soon
Nominesine has informed us that Operation Flashpoint Editing Center will be online soon, although in this phase, only the forums will be online, with all of the old content.
After four months of down time the Operation Flashpoint Editing Center, OFPEC, is finally back on line.
We open our forums for public use on May 26 2006.
OFPEC was born back in 2001 when somebody wondered: “How do I light afire in OFP?”. That question kindled another fire that became OFPEC - the largest and best editing site for Operation Flashpoint.
At the end of January this year, our servers had multiple critical hardware failures. We feared all was lost, all data, our forums, everything. Well, it wasn’t. Today you will find that almost everything has changed - and at the same time it remains the same. You can still find an answer to the original fire question at OFPEC. And better still, the forum is now fully operational, with the login working properly. All the old posts and discussion threads are still there. The URL is the same: http://www.ofpec.com/ and you log in with your old user name and your old password.
The OFPEC depots: Missions, Editors, Intel and Addons are not operational at the moment. Some of the data contained in them was lost, but we’re working to rebuild them ASAP.
We’re convinced that opening the forums today is the best way to rebuild our data bases of tutorials, scripts, missions and the FAQ. After all, the idea behind OFPEC is “By the community, for the community.”
And in case somebody is wondering, you still light a fire with the following script snippet: this inflame true
